Why did you decide to become a budtender: I love everything about cannabis, which makes this job the perfect fit for me.

 

What’s your favorite part of the job: Seeing and sampling all the new products.

 

What sort of things have you learned on the job: I’ve learned that this industry is constantly progressing forward and to continue to expect change.

 

How do you help a customer who is new to cannabis, or returning after years away:  We talk about what the best option for them would be, either smoking or ingesting, then decide what kind of high they are looking for.

 

What’s the biggest challenge in your job: Keeping up on the online menu.

 

What’s your most memorable job experience: Educating a couple in their 80s that came off the cruise ship about cannabis and helping them with their first purchase of edibles.

 

What’s your personal favorite product among those that you sell: Pet CBD by Alaska Natural Extracts and Refine Alaska’s 7g Baller Jars.

 

How long have you been in Alaska, and if from somewhere else, where: I’ve lived in Alaska my entire life.

 

If you could share a bowl with one famous person in the world, who would it be and why: Mike Myers. I love to laugh.

 

What are your interests outside of work: Hanging with my dogs and kiddo.

 

If someone asked you about becoming a budtender, what would you tell them: It’s a growing industry and the more you know, the better you will be at your job.
